On behalf of all the staff at Banchory Academy, I would like to welcome you to our school website.
Banchory Academy is a very vibrant school with just over 850 pupils. Our school vision is to provide the highest quality education and experience for all our pupils and we work hard to meet this. We recognise that every pupil is an individual and our ultimate aim is to develop the full potential of all our young people. Our core values of consideration, opportunity, responsibility and excellence allow us to unlock every pupil’s potential, raising their aspirations in a safe, healthy, nurturing and caring environment. We value the high quality relationships between staff and our young people as well as academic achievement.
Our success also depends on the co-operation and support of our parent body who are encouraged to take an active interest in the work and life of the school in a variety of ways. We very much look forward to you being part of our school.
Kindest regards
Judith Wight

This year Banchory Academy has been working towards recognition as a Rights Respecting School, working with UNICEF to educate pupils and staff on children's rights and how to put them into practice every day.
And we are very happy to announce we have just been awarded our Bronze Badge, and have already started working towards our silver.
A Right's Respecting School doesn't just benefit the school, it makes a positive impact on the whole community.
*Children are healthier and happier
*Children feel safe
*Children have better relationships
*Children become active and involved in school life and the wider world.
