WELLBEING
Banchory Academy are currently working towards gaining the Wellbeing Award for Schools.. This award focuses on changing the long-term culture of the whole school. Using an evidence-based framework to drive change, it will help deliver staff and pupil wellbeing, review staff training, and revise policies. This award will ensure that mental health and wellbeing sit at the heart of school life. The school’s working group has an update on progress made this sessions:-
This session we have achieved:
– Establishment of ‘Peer Listeners’ support group for all pupils
– Training and implementation of staff Mental Health ‘First-Aiders’
Next, we are aiming to:
– Promote and improve accessibility to key information regarding mental health support
– Establish ‘Well-Being Champions’ among pupils and staff
